Help

Where to get help

  • Gambling Support BC, the IGCO's provincial program, can be reached on 1-888-795-6111; calls are free, confidential and answered 24/7. Whoever answers is a navigator able to offer immediate help, point to nearby services or arrange a counsellor at no cost.
  • Game Break, BCLC's voluntary self-exclusion program, takes enrolments face to face: a person brings government-issued photo ID to a commercial bingo hall, a community gaming centre or any casino in the province. The shortest period is 6 months, and a person may instead choose 3 years, 2 years or 1 year. Once picked, that length is locked and reaches PlayNow.com as well.
  • Casino of the Rockies keeps a GameSense Info Centre on its Mission Road site and is part of Game Break. Every casino across British Columbia offers guests a GameSense Advisor.
  • The same Gambling Support BC line is open to anyone affected by another person's gambling. Its navigator can link them with a counsellor at no cost, and gamblingsupportbc.ca has more detail.

Limits

Setting limits before the drive

Two decisions are worth making in Cranbrook before setting out: the evening's budget and the hour it finishes. On Sunday to Thursday nights the doors at Casino of the Rockies close at 11 pm; Friday and Saturday run later, to 1 am. That closing hour gives most evenings a firm finish. For holidays, casinooftherockies.ca is where to confirm the schedule. British Columbia sets the gambling age at 19, so only guests 19 or older get through the door.

Method

The Kootenay Valley desk

Cranbrook Casino Valley Notes publishes each page under a single collective name, the Kootenay Valley desk. No personal credit appears on any page, and the site does not name an author.

No photograph appears in these pages, and anyone in a frame is invented; each image came from image-generating software. Four of them started from real photographs of Casino of the Rockies. They show the restaurant inside, the entrance hall, the gaming floor's cashier wall and the roadside log arch with the casino sign. The valley, the cliffs above the river, the roadside stop and the wooden deck are invented and do not show the resort.

The Kootenay Valley desk checked its facts on October 13, 2026. Sources were pages published by the casino and by the resort, BCLC's casino listing and provincial sources. Distances in these notes join two sets of OpenStreetMap coordinates directly, so the road between them runs longer. All hours are given in local Mountain time.

Cranbrook Casino Valley Notes has no forms, comments or logins. Your colour theme stays in the browser. A cookie-free counter tells an outside party your IP address and browser type.

Notes for the desk travel to talk@cranbrookcasino.com: a slip on a page, a door showing a different closing time, or curiosity about the method. That address serves the guide and reaches no one at the resort. For rooms, golf and casino matters, the resort answers at 1-866-292-2020.

FAQ

Short answers

Is the help line open at night?

Gambling Support BC runs 24/7, including nights. Calls to 1-888-795-6111 are free and confidential.

Is there a way to shorten a Game Break term?

The Kootenay Valley desk notes that a Game Break term cannot be altered once it has been chosen. Each enrollee settles on one of four lengths: a term of 6 months, a term of 1 year, a term of 2 years or a full 3 years. Self-exclusion then reaches PlayNow.com as well, lasting exactly as long as the chosen term.
